
Sitka, Alaska (KINY) - Vicente Carlos, 55, received 59 months in prison with 35 months suspended.
Police said he fired a shot at a building on October 9, 2018.
The report said Carlos entered a home in the 900-block of Halibut Point Road and assaulted a sleeping man with the barrel of a rifle.
He then drove toward town and fired a round from a gun in the 600-block of Halibut Point Road at a building.
Police said the shot narrowly missed some Public Safety Academy cadets that were running on the road.
No one was injured in the incident. Carlos was arrested after a vehicle pursuit.
