Juneau School Board candidate Tom Buzard
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau School Board Candidate Tom Buzard said on Acton Line that if elected he wants to be involved in any committee that works on industrial arts and trades and skills.
"It's really my bent," he said. "I'll tell you straight up it's why I'm running for the school board. I am probably not the best candidate in other areas, but in this particular area, I bring with me 50 years of industrial knowledge and strength background."
Buzard said his favorite classes in high school included wood and metal shop, welding and other industrial arts classes.
The local businessman served for four years with the U. S. Navy's Seabees.
Buzard has lived in Alaska for 47 years and in Juneau for the past 21 years.
