
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Capital City Fire Rescue and Search and Rescue Special Teams responded to the Dan Moller Trail on Friday afternoon to assist in the evacuation of an injured hiker.
According to Assistant Chief Travis Mead, the victim was a 59-year-old female with a broken leg.
CCFR special teams toned out at 1:34 p.m., and first responders using ATVs, along with Temsco Helicopters took part in the rescue.
The victim was extracted by helicopter and taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital where she is resting.
