
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The bears are out and about, and are being aggresive according to Capital City Fire Rescue.
According to a press release, CCFR and Juneau police responded Friday to the report of a male bitten by a bear in the Switzer Creek area.
The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. in the Switzer Village trailer park.
The Alaska Department of Fish & Game was notified, but by the time authorities arrived the bear was gone.
The male had superficial wounds and was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital by a family member for evaluation and treatment.
