
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting two new residents with COVID-19 in Juneau.
How the individuals acquired the virus is under investigation.
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 734 residents test positive for COVID-19 since March and 112 nonresidents. There are 56 active cases in Juneau and 786 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.
There are currently three people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services today reports 586 new people with COVID-19 – 578 are residents and five are nonresidents.
The state reported 13 new deaths – five that occurred this past week and eight that occurred in the past few weeks – bringing the total number of resident deaths to 115.
Alaska has had 27,669 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 1,194 nonresidents.
